Return and refund policy

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

Runway Society gladly accepts returns & exchanges of eligible products within 7 days of being received. To start a return or exchange, please reach out to our customer service team at info@runwaysociety.com.

RETURNABLE CONDITION REQUIREMENTS

Items must be:
* Unworn, unwashed, undamaged, unaltered
* Free of makeup, stains, deodorant, and perfume
* All original internal garment tags must be attached and intact
* For swimwear: hygienic liner must be completely unused and intact
* For dresses: no signs of wear whatsoever

Items that do not meet these conditions will not be eligible for return or exchange.

FINAL SALE ITEMS

The following items CANNOT be returned or exchanged:
* ALL SWIMWEAR (for hygiene reasons — final sale)
* FINAL SALE DRESSES (marked at checkout)

Final sale items are clearly marked at the time of purchase. Please review your order carefully, as final sale items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

REGULAR DRESSES (Non-Final-Sale)

Regular priced dresses CAN be returned or exchanged within 7 days if they meet all returnable condition requirements above.

EXCEPTIONS & ELIGIBILITY

Situations eligible for FREE returns and exchanges:
* The item has quality defects or manufacturing issues
* Significant color discrepancies from product photos
* The wrong item was sent in your order
* The item arrived damaged due to shipping

Situations eligible for EXCHANGES only (customer-paid return):
* You don't like or want the item for personal reasons
* Sizing preference (though we encourage you to check our size chart first)

Note: Swimwear and final sale dresses cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstance.

SIZING ISSUES

We encourage customers to review our detailed SIZE CHART and reach out to hello@runwaysociety.com BEFORE purchasing if you have sizing questions. 

If an item doesn't fit after purchase and it's NOT final sale merchandise, you may exchange for a different size. Runway Society covers exchange shipping costs. You are responsible for return shipping on the original item.

EXCHANGES

Each non-final-sale item can be exchanged once.

* Runway Society covers shipping for the new item being sent to you
* You pay return shipping on the original item
* If exchanging for a higher-priced item, you pay the difference
* If exchanging for a lower-priced item, we refund the difference as store credit

RETURN COSTS

For customer-paid returns (change of mind, sizing, etc.):

Option A: Self-mailing
* You arrange and pay for return shipping
* Refund processed once item is received and inspected
* Return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund (approximately 10% of item value)

Option B: Prepaid return label (select locations)
* We provide a prepaid label
* Return shipping cost—10% of the returned item's value—is deducted from your refund

For company-error returns (wrong item, damaged item, defects):
* Runway Society covers all return shipping costs
* No deductions from refund
* Full refund processed

REFUND TIMELINE

Refunds are processed within 14 days after your returned package is received and inspected by our warehouse team. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.

ORDER CANCELLATION & MODIFICATIONS

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Once an order is placed, it CANNOT be canceled or modified.

* Orders are immediately processed for fulfillment
* No changes to size, color, quantity, or address can be made after checkout
* No cancellations are accepted under any circumstances
* Please review your cart carefully before completing your purchase

If you have placed an order by mistake, your only option is to refuse delivery or initiate a return once the package arrives (subject to our 7-day return policy and condition requirements).

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES

* Swimwear is ALWAYS final sale — non-returnable and non-exchangeable under ALL circumstances
* Final sale dresses (marked at checkout) are non-returnable and non-exchangeable
* Do not send returns to any address other than the one provided by our customer service team
* Refunds cannot be processed for items sent to incorrect addresses
* If a package is rejected by you, no returns/exchanges/refunds will be offered — store credit will be issued instead
